Viking Simulator JARL: Concept Paintings

I am continuing my series of posts showcasing art made for Jarl, an indie RPG game and "fantasy simulator".
For this concepts, I wanted to incorporate the game's storytelling into the visuals. One of the image: Crystals and resources are a big deal in the game, so I used the painting to show that while these resources must be sourced, there are also enemies guarding the "treasure." And, you have to think how to conquer it less damageable for your settlement. Another image shows the path that the player has to walkthrough, from crafting weapons to collecting resources. Also, interesting part for me was creating a logo for the game, that I attached as well.

I used Maya for modeling and rendering, and Photoshop for painting over and sketching.

Gameplay videos from the project are available here: https://www.youtube.com/@Jarl-Game-com

The most first sketch I've done for the project and I think it is describe the gameplay very well, and speak out by itself.
